This musical theatre based camp is for kids ages 5 and up who are interested in taking the stage…whether it’s for the first time or the 100th time. All camps run from 9am-3pm Monday through Friday, and every week features a completely different theme culminating in a dynamic showcase performance for family and friends. Each camper will receive an authentic summer camp t-shirt, a certificate of completion, a group camp photo, and a DVD of the showcase performance! (Additional copies can be ordered for $5 each.)
Led by a staff of highly trained, nurturing professionals, daily activities include workshops in acting, dancing and singing… special topics workshops in areas such as scenic artistry, costuming, and makeup design...collaborative games that further explore the principals and foundational tools learned throughout the day… wacky daily theme competitions that enhance creativity and team unity…and rehearsals for the showcase performance. In addition to gaining a solid understanding of the creative process involved in putting on a production, campers will be empowered to become more self-confidant, equipped to express themselves creatively, and encouraged to make informed choices not only as artists but as budding citizens of society. What Parents are Saying
“Thank you for bringing so much out of
my kids; they both loved it and are still cherishing those
moments they have spent on the stage.”
“Julia LOVED the class... thank you so
much. She had to give a presentation at school last week and
she didn't bat an eye... Her confidence is amazing... Thank
you.”
“So pleased with the level of enthusiasm
and friendliness of the staff at this program. I will be passing
along my experience with any mom I know!”
“I am pleased to let you know that Evan
loved theater camp! He especially loved the camp leaders and
learning to sing and dance. He would come home very excited
about practicing the songs and tell me about the fun kids
he met there. It was over too soon for him.”
“Last week, my daughter attended a new
drama camp at Provision Theater. It was a truly transforming
experience for her. After 4 1/2 days of camp, she was on stage,
singing, dancing, reciting her lines.... and more importantly,
gaining the confidence to do all of these things in front
of an audience!”
“I loved that camp was working towards
a show at the end of the week. Most camps have lots of fun
activities, but without as much of a purpose as Provision's
camp did.”
“My daughter Larissa’s experience
with Provision Theater has been wonderful. Larissa found summer
camp with you at Provision Theater to be the ‘best’
she had. I was very satisfied with Larissa’s everyday
progress. She joyfully went there every morning and I found
her so very happy at the point of pick up. She learned how
to take responsibility on a group project and how important
sharing is. It was so amazing to see how the children learned
their parts in a very short period time and how they acted
professionally in front of an audience on the last day of
the camp. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I
made about a summer camp for Larissa.”
“Felix and Coco were so proud of
their involvement in Wizard of Oz. It was wonderful to hear
about the exciting things they did each day. I think the staff
made they feel comfortable as well as motivated…(the
staff) did a phenomenal job of accommodating different skill
levels and balancing the teamwork aspect of the camp. Both
my kids had a purely positive experience. They spoke highly
of the teachers and their fellow campers.”
